THG offer colocation in DC5, our fully owned data centre in Central London (zone 2, just East of Canary Wharf). The 1MW facility is the birthplace of UK2 and where Ingenuity Cloud Services operate our own bare metal PoP from. The full-time staff at the site (manned 24/7/365) build and maintain custom infrastructure on behalf of thousands of customers. The remote hands service we offer colo customers is supported by the same team, so the standard of remote hands is vastly superior to that offered by most ‘colo only’ operators.
The unassuming exterior houses a proprietary free-air/CRAC cooling system. This technology gives DC5 a real world PUE of 1.37, making it one of the most efficient data centres in the Central London metro market.
The site operates a distributed IP edge, that leverages diverse carriers at DC5, as well as switching racks at Telehouse North 2 and Interxion, Brick Lane. This means any tenant or carrier at either location is a simple x-connect away for THG colo customers. THG also offer a blended IP Transit product for optimal performance and resiliency.
